Maybe I shouldn't admit this...

Confessions:

1. I have been listening to Taylor Swift's "You Belong With Me" on repeat for the last hour...and singing along quite loudly.

2. I slept until 9:00 this morning--after having resolved to get up at 7:00. For once, I'm not mad at myself for this irresponsible behavior.

3. I decided that I am not going to eat a single treat for two weeks. Not one. So don't ask me to or try to tempt me because the answer will be, "NO WAY." (I will be steering clear of the dessert table at the upcoming church fiesta.) I want to see if I can do it. I want to do hard things.

4. Saying an occasional "damn" does make me feel liberated. I'm sorry if this changes anyone's opinion of me. I think it's a phase, and I'm hoping I will grow out of it.

5. I want to have a good day today.

  2. Oh you are so funny!! And I slept in til 10, just for the record. Not being able to sleep on my stomach or my back makes for quite a night, so that's my excuse. :)

Oh, and the only reason I got up at 10 and not 10:30 was because I was hungry. Besides, enjoy it while you can, right? We need to chat soon, k??

  3. Haha, I love you. I love your "confessions". I just got up at 9:30 . . . but that is not all that unusual for me. I know you can stay away from desserts for two weeks and I know you'll feel really good after the two weeks are up.

  6. Damnit, Rachel! You are such a foul mouth and you disgust me...but I couldn't agree more. It makes me feel better when I'm stressed and/or annoyed (well, in the moment, and then I feel bad afterward and apologize to Andrew for saying a curse). You are too funnnnny. AND I woke up today at 11:30. True story.

  13. Okay, blog stalker time. I am a good friend of Kashann's from college and haven't perused random blogs for-ev-er. However, yours is hilarious! I am truly enjoying reading it, and can so relate to this post. My mom would probably keel over if she knew how many damns and hells and Diet Cokes I indulge in.

Thanks for being so entertaining! You are a terrific writer...and your students are lucky to have you as a teacher!
